One of the major keys to saving money on PCB manufacturing is to optimize the usable area available for each standard manufacturing panel. Most PCB manufactures use 16 x 18, 18 x 21 and 18 x 24. The usable area in this case for an 18 x 24 size panel will be 16 x 22. This would then allow you to break the usable area down mathematically into two segments of 8 x 11 and finally 4 x 5.5. Utilizing these sizes will achieve maximum cost benefits. Streamline exceeds the standard by offering eleven different panel sizes to ensure customer cost efficiency.
The Panel Optimizer will determine the best way to place single images on arrays and arrays on panels. Users simply plug in their board dimensions and the Optimizer calculates all the possible panel placement combinations in seconds!
Example: 7.25" x 8.0" Array = 6 Arrays per processes Panel 7.25" fits 3 times in the 24" Axis, while the 8" fits 2 times in the 18" Axis
